Inkerman Visits Cru

We walked down to the waterfront to catch up with JC, manager of CRU and a familiar face around Nantucket. Equal parts stylish and easygoing, JC keeps the energy high while leading a strong team through the nonstop pace of an island summer. Wine is at the heart of CRU, and it’s something JC has a real appreciation for himself. Making it as much a part of the experience as the food, the waterfront, and the people.

We caught up with him between shifts to talk about life on Nantucket, his everyday style, and where he’d take his Inkermans if he could wear them anywhere in the world.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day on Nantucket when you’re not at CRU?

If I’m not at CRU, I’m usually trying to be outside. A perfect day is getting out on the water, spending some time at the beach, and grabbing a drink or dinner with friends. Nothing too complicated, that’s one of the best parts about being on Nantucket.

How do Inkerman pieces fit into your everyday style—whether you’re at CRU or off the clock?

My style is pretty simple and laid-back, so Inkerman fits into it naturally. I like pieces that look put together without feeling too dressed up. I can wear them at CRU during the day and head straight out afterward without really having to think about it.

If you could wear your Inkermans anywhere in the world, where would you take them?

Somewhere on the water. Maybe the South of France or the Italian coast—good food, a boat nearby, and nowhere you need to be too quickly.
